Attacked Fil-Am writer Randy Gener provoked assault, says complaint

The near-fatal assault on Filipino-American writer Randy Gener took a twist when a criminal complaint filed by the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office against Gener’s alleged attacker claimed that Gener provoked the attack when he allegedly kicked a woman in the chest during a sidewalk dispute in the wee hours of Jan. 17.
